CUNY York College

CUNY York College, located in Jamaica, Queens, New York City, is a public senior college within the City University of New York (CUNY) system. Established in 1966, it was the first senior college founded under the unified CUNY system. The 50-acre urban campus in Jamaica, Queens, features an Academic Core Building, a 1,500-seat Performing Arts Center, a Health and Physical Education facility with a gymnasium and swimming pool, and various other academic and athletic facilities. While York College does not offer on-campus housing, it is well-served by public transportation, including subway lines (E, J, Z trains to Parsons-Archer/Jamaica Center), numerous bus routes, and the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) at Jamaica Station. The college is actively exploring a shuttle van service to further enhance transportation for students and staff.
