About Wabash College
Academics
Wabash College offers 40 academic programs, including 36 majors and minors, a dual-degree engineering program, and pre-professional programs in law and medicine. Six of its programs, including foreign languages and linguistics, Germanic languages, history, and mathematics and statistics, have been ranked among the top one percent nationwide. The college emphasizes personalized instruction through small class sizes and close faculty-student interaction, with professors highly accessible to students. Wabash also offers "WabashX" programs, which are high-impact, experiential learning opportunities in areas like business innovation, global health, digital media, and civic leadership.
International Students
Wabash College welcomes international students and provides support systems to assist their integration into the community. The International Center, led by the Director of International Programs, offers guidance and resources for F-1 international students, covering aspects like maintaining F-1 status, employment options, and finances. While all programs are taught in English, standardized test scores like TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo are typically required for admission, unless English is the applicant's first language or language of instruction. International students constitute approximately 4.1% to 6.05% of the undergraduate student body, representing various countries, with Vietnam, China, and Pakistan being among the most common origins. The International Students Association acts as a "home away from home," hosting cultural events and organizing activities to help students connect and experience American culture. The Community Friends Program also pairs international students with local families to foster cultural exchange and support.

Crawfordsville is situated 45 miles northwest of Indianapolis and 150 miles southeast of Chicago, with transportation available from the Indianapolis International Airport. The campus features over 60 buildings, predominantly of Georgian architecture. While Crawfordsville is not a sprawling college town, it is considered safe and welcoming, with ongoing efforts to connect the college to downtown areas with trails. Nearby attractions include the Ben Hur Museum, the Old Jail Museum, and the Lane Place Antebellum Mansion, with Shades State Park and Turkey Run State Park offering outdoor activities within a 30-minute drive.
