Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies

Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies (ONAFT), now reorganized as Odesa National University of Technology (ONTU) since August 2021, is a public higher education institution in Odesa, Ukraine. Established in 1902, it is one of the country's oldest educational institutions specializing in food and processing industries. The university holds the highest level of accreditation and has a rich history of training over 98,000 professionals, including more than 7,000 international graduates from 75 countries.

Academics

ONTU offers a diverse range of academic programs across 11 faculties and four scientific-educational institutes, covering 21 areas of training and 42 programs. While traditionally strong in food technology and grain sciences, the curriculum has expanded to include fields like marketing, logistics, automation, information technology, ecology, and accounting. The institution emphasizes scientific research aimed at developing technologies for healthy and sustainable human lifestyles. The faculty includes 104 doctors and professors, alongside 388 PhD holders and associate professors.

International Students

ONTU has a long history of welcoming international students, having trained foreign specialists since 1951. The university provides a preparatory section for international students to help them successfully continue their studies in basic departments. Support services for international students include assistance with admission documents, visa support, airport pick-up, medical insurance, and help with accommodation. While many programs are taught in Ukrainian, some Bachelor's and Master's programs might be available in English. The university promotes intercultural exchange by having international students study and live with local students.
