NAU offers a wide array of programs across its five institutes and ten faculties, covering fields such as aerospace, air navigation, electronics, telecommunications, architecture, construction, design, environmental safety, economics, business administration, cybersecurity, computer and software engineering, linguistics, social communications, international relations, transport, management, and law. The university is known for its strong scientific schools in mechanics, management, electronics, materials science, electrical engineering, computer science, and computer facilities. Practical training is a cornerstone of NAU's approach, with facilities including a unique hangar housing 75 airplanes and helicopters, 42 aircraft engines, and various simulators for aircraft and air traffic control.
International Students
NAU is a popular choice for international students, with approximately 1,500 foreign students from over 55 countries currently enrolled. The university offers English-taught programs in various specializations, including Air Navigation Service Systems, Maintenance and Repair of Aircraft and Aircraft Engines, Avionics, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, and Law. The International Education Centre facilitates international student exchange programs and collaborations, and support services include airport pickup and assistance with accommodation and visa processes. Foreign students who are not proficient in the languages of instruction (Ukrainian or Russian) can enroll in a one-year preparatory faculty.
Campus & Location
The main campus of NAU spans approximately 90-100 hectares in Kyiv, the vibrant capital city of Ukraine. The campus features 14 academic buildings, 11 residence halls (including one hotel-type hostel), a Medical Center, a Scientific and Technical Library with nearly 3 million books, a Culture and Arts Center, and a Training and Sports Wellness Center with a yacht club. Kyiv offers a rich city life with extensive public transportation options, including the subway, buses, trolleybuses, and trams, connecting the campus to other parts of the city. The university also boasts the State Aviation Museum, which is ranked among the top 10 in the world by CNN.
