TransWorld University

TransWorld University (TWU) was a private higher education institution located in Douliu City, Yunlin County, Taiwan, founded in 1992. It offered a range of pre-bachelor's, bachelor's, and master's degrees. However, it is important to note that TransWorld University was ordered to close by the Ministry of Education, ceasing all operations on July 31, 2024, due to financial difficulties.

Academics

TransWorld University offered undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs across various fields, including business, design, humanities, and technology. The university comprised four colleges: the College of Management, the College of Design, the College of Hospitality & Tourism, and the College of Health Sciences. Additionally, it had five graduate institutes, such as Environmental Resources Management and Cultural & Creative Design. The teaching approach emphasized "Learning by Doing" and aimed to cultivate talents with technological competence in industries like health, leisure, cultural creativity, and management.

Campus & Location

TransWorld University was situated in Douliu City, Yunlin County, in west-central Taiwan. The campus was known for being the largest green campus among private technological universities in Taiwan. It was accessible within walking distance south of Douliu Station of the Taiwan Railway. Yunlin County is also near popular tourist destinations like Sun Moon Lake and Alishan Mountain.
