Türk-Alman University

Türk-Alman University (TAU), established in Istanbul in 2010, is a state university that serves as a bridge between Turkish and German higher education traditions. It aims to combine the academic achievements of both countries, fostering scientific, economic, and cultural cooperation. TAU is a multilingual institution, with undergraduate programs primarily taught in German and graduate programs offered in German or English.

TAU offers a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate programs across five faculties: Engineering, Social Sciences, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Law, and Science. The university emphasizes an interdisciplinary and practice-oriented approach, particularly in fields like Molecular Biotechnology, which combines biology with engineering to develop innovative solutions in health, industry, and agriculture. Many programs are coordinated with partner universities in Germany, and successful students may have opportunities to study in Germany and earn dual degrees. TAU welcomes international applicants and offers various support services. While undergraduate programs are mainly in German, graduate programs can be in German or English. The university provides a language preparatory class for German, and those with high proficiency can start their studies directly. Campus & Location

Located in Istanbul, a vibrant and cosmopolitan city, TAU's main campus is situated in a suburban, green area in Beykoz, offering a peaceful learning environment. The campus features modern classrooms, laboratories, a library, and sports facilities. While the university cannot provide dormitory accommodation for all students due to high demand, a guest house is available for Erasmus+ incoming students.
