It is a dynamic institution that fosters critical thinking, artistic exploration, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Konstfack emphasizes sustainability and social responsibility, preparing students to address contemporary challenges through their creative practices.

Academics

Konstfack offers a comprehensive curriculum across various artistic disciplines, including Fine Art, Graphic Design and Illustration, Industrial Design, Interior Architecture and Furniture Design, Textile Design, and Ceramics and Glass. The Student Union plays an active role in fostering a positive social climate, organizing events and supporting student groups such as a Repair Cafe, Running Club, Soccer Club, Boulder Club, and Game Club. Konstfack also provides support services for exchange students, including assistance with accommodation and information regarding visas and residence permits.

Campus & Location

Konstfack is situated in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, known for its vibrant culture and innovative design. The campus is housed in a former LM Ericsson telephone factory in Telefonplan, transformed into a modernist structure with state-of-the-art facilities. These include extensive workshops for various crafts like woodwork, metalwork, screen-printing, glassworks, and ceramics, as well as photo and TV studios and a comprehensive art and design library. The Telefonplan subway station provides convenient transportation to and from the campus.

Career Outcomes

Konstfack prepares students for diverse careers in art, design, and related fields, with alumni working as artists, designers, pedagogues, and curators. The university's emphasis on critical thinking, experimentation, and interdisciplinary approaches equips graduates with skills applicable to evolving industries.
