Eftimie Murgu University of Reșița

Eftimie Murgu University of Reșița (UEM) was a public, non-profit institution located in Reșița, Romania, with a history dating back to 1971 when it was established as the Reșița Institute of Engineering. The university was later restructured and renamed in 1992, focusing on engineering and technical education to support the region's industrial base. As of the academic year 2020-2021, Eftimie Murgu University of Reșița merged with the West University of Timișoara, becoming the University Centre of Reșița within the larger institution.
