University of Lisbon

The University of Lisbon (ULisboa) is Portugal's largest and most prestigious university, formed in 2013 from the merger of the former University of Lisbon and the Technical University of Lisbon. Academics

ULisboa comprises 18 schools and faculties, along with over 100 research units, encompassing all areas of knowledge. ULisboa welcomes over 9,000 international students from more than 100 countries annually, making up approximately 17.8% of its student population. The Student Support Services offer direct assistance, including scholarships and financial aid, and indirect support such as meals, accommodation in its 19 student residences, and health services. For cultural integration, student associations exist within each school, and organizations like the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) provide guidance and help with accommodation. Non-EU citizens must obtain a study visa from the Portuguese Consulate in their home country prior to travel.

The university has nine campuses, each providing services like Wi-Fi, dining halls, and libraries. The Cidade Universitária Campus, for example, houses the Rectory, Faculties of Sciences, Law, and Medicine, among others.
