University of Baltistan

The University of Baltistan, Skardu (UOBS) is a public higher education institution established in 2017 by the Federal Government of Pakistan. It aims to provide quality education and research opportunities to the people of the Gilgit-Baltistan region and beyond. UOBS is recognized and regulated by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

The region is known for its enchanting valleys, large glacial ranges, and five summits over 8000 meters, including K2. The university will soon be shifting to a newly constructed, modern, and well-equipped campus with academic buildings, a library, computer labs, a student center, sports facilities, and residential facilities.
