International University of Rabat

The International University of Rabat (UIR) is a semi-public institution established in 2010, marking it as the first higher education institution in Morocco founded through a public-private partnership. Located in Salé, within the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, UIR is recognized for its commitment to academic excellence, research, innovation, and internationalization. The university aims to provide high-level training and contribute to the socio-economic development of Morocco and the African continent.

Academics

UIR offers a multidisciplinary range of undergraduate, postgraduate, engineering, and doctoral programs across various fields. Key faculties and schools include the College of Engineering and Architecture, College of Social Sciences, College of Health Sciences, and College of Management (Rabat Business School). Notable programs span areas such as law, engineering (aeronautics, energy, automotive, civil), architecture, business management, political science, and health sciences. Campus & Location

The UIR campus is situated in the Technopolis area, about 15 km from the city of Rabat, the capital of Morocco. The modern campus spans 27 hectares and features five main buildings, a central library, six student dormitories, and extensive sports facilities including playing fields for soccer, volleyball, tennis, basketball, and a heated semi-Olympic indoor pool. The campus also includes university restaurants, a cafeteria, a grocery store, and laundry facilities. Rabat itself is described as a safe and vibrant city with a rich culture and history, offering a blend of traditional Moroccan experiences and modern amenities. Transportation between the campus and Rabat city is available, and Rabat is accessible by train and via the nearby Rabat-Salé Airport.
