Akita University, a Japanese national university established in 1949, is located in Akita City, Japan. Academics

Akita University comprises four undergraduate faculties: International Resource Sciences, Education and Human Studies, Medicine, and Engineering Science, along with corresponding graduate schools. Transportation from Akita Airport to Akita Station takes approximately 40 minutes by bus, and the Tegata Campus is accessible by bus from JR Akita Station.

Akita University offers career guidance starting from the first year, with the general support center assisting students with their job searches. The university actively engages in collaborative research with industry, government, and academia through initiatives like the Akita University Venture Incubation Center (AU-VIC). This center aims to foster industrial revitalization and human resource training through joint research.
