Cochin University of Science and Technology

Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), located in Kochi, Kerala, India, is a state government-owned autonomous university established in 1971. It is dedicated to promoting undergraduate and postgraduate studies and advanced research in applied science, technology, industry, commerce, management, and social sciences. Campus & Location

CUSAT boasts three extensive campuses, covering over 180 acres. The main campus in South Kalamassery, Kochi, features traditional Kerala architecture and houses various departments, hostels, a computerized central library with free internet access, and sports facilities. The Lakeside campus specializes in oceanography and marine science, housing one of Asia's largest marine science libraries, while the Pulincunnu campus is home to the Cochin University College of Engineering Kuttanad (CUCEK) and Cochin University College of Computer Applications (CUCCA). Kochi, a major city in Southern India, offers a good transport system, with the main campus easily accessible by road, rail, and metro.

CUSAT has a dedicated placement cell that works to connect students with potential employers, offering counseling, skill development programs, and placement training. The university has a strong placement record, with 942 students placed in prestigious companies in the previous academic year, and over 700 job offers made in 2024. Top recruiters include major companies like TCS, Accenture, IBM, Deloitte, and Reliance.
