Visvesvaraya Technological University

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), located in Belagavi, Karnataka, is a prominent public state university established in 1998. Named after the eminent Indian civil engineer Sir M. Visvesvaraya, the university serves as a central hub for technical education in Karnataka, affiliating over 200 engineering and architecture colleges. VTU has a centralized placement cell (VTU-CPC) that conducts annual placement drives to help students secure employment opportunities. In 2024, 532 students were placed, with a median package of INR 4.45 LPA for both UG and PG students. Top recruiters include major IT firms like Infosys, Wipro, HCL, Tech Mahindra, and Virtusa, as well as companies like Amazon, IBM, and Deloitte.
