About Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology

The Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) officially merged with IT Sligo and Letterkenny IT in April 2022 to form Atlantic Technological University (ATU), one of Ireland's largest multi-campus universities. ATU Galway-Mayo, as it is now known, builds on GMIT's legacy of providing practical, career-focused education with a strong emphasis on research and innovation. It offers a vibrant and inclusive learning environment across its campuses in the picturesque west of Ireland.

ATU Galway-Mayo offers a diverse portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across four main faculties: Business, Engineering & Computing, Science & Health, and Design, Education & Social Sciences.
