National University of Public Service

The National University of Public Service (NUPS) in Budapest, Hungary, is a unique institution dedicated to educating future public administration officials, military, and law enforcement officers. Established in 2012 through the merger of several esteemed colleges, NUPS combines rich traditions with a modern, comprehensive approach to public service training. It serves as a key educational and think tank institution for Hungarian public service.

Academics

NUPS offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs across five faculties: Public Governance and International Studies, Military Science and Officer Training, Law Enforcement, Water Sciences, and Nemeskürty István Teacher Training Faculty. The teaching approach emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, with lecturers often being practicing professionals. Notable programs include International Relations, European Studies, Public Administration, Criminalistics, Military Leadership, and Water Governance. The university is also developing a fourth faculty focused on European and international studies.
