German University in Cairo

The German University in Cairo (GUC) is a private, non-profit institution established in 2002 in New Cairo, Egypt, through a collaborative effort between Egyptian and German partners. It aims to be a leading center for excellence in teaching and research, fostering scientific, technical, economic, and cultural cooperation between the two countries. GUC is the largest German transnational educational institution globally, offering a unique blend of German and Egyptian academic standards.

Academics

GUC offers over 70 study programs, including 31 undergraduate and 40 postgraduate programs, all taught in English and structured according to German standards, adhering to the Bologna Process. The university's faculties include Information Engineering & Technology, Media Engineering & Technology, Engineering & Material Sciences, Management Technology, Pharmacy & Biotechnology, Applied Sciences & Arts, Law and Legal Studies, and Postgraduate Studies & Scientific Research. The teaching approach emphasizes practice-oriented learning, incorporating field studies, training opportunities, internships, and mandatory research projects for graduation. Degrees are accredited in both Egypt and Germany by ACQUIN, ensuring international recognition.

International Students
