The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus/Aalborg (Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium) is a state institution under the Danish Ministry of Culture, dedicated to higher education in music and the promotion of musical culture in Denmark. Established in its current form in 2010 through a merger of the Aarhus and Aalborg academies, its programs hold national and international recognition. The Academy prepares students for careers as professional musicians, composers, solo performers, or music teachers.

The Academy offers a diverse range of programs across classical, jazz/pop, and electronic music at Bachelor's, Master's, and Soloist/Advanced Postgraduate levels. Teaching emphasizes solo instrumental or vocal work, complemented by ensemble playing and various supplementary subjects. International Students

The Academy currently hosts approximately 50 international students and actively participates in Erasmus+ and Nordplus exchange programs. International applicants follow the same admission procedures as Danish students.

The Academy boasts modern facilities in two of Scandinavia's major university cities: Aarhus and Aalborg. The Aarhus department is situated within the Concert Hall Aarhus, offering access to various concert halls, teaching and rehearsal rooms, and recording studios, with 24/7 student access. Aarhus itself is a vibrant city with a rich cultural scene, including the Concert Hall Aarhus, which hosts numerous national and international artists. The city also features historical areas like the Latin Quarter.
