CTU boasts eight faculties: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering, Architecture, Transportation Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, and Information Technology. The university emphasizes a project-oriented teaching approach, connecting theory with practical applications and addressing current topics in various fields. With approximately 66 accredited study programs taught in English, including double-degree and joint-degree programs, CTU provides a broad range of opportunities for students. Research is a cornerstone of CTU, conducted across all faculties and several institutes like the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC).
International Students
CTU is home to a diverse community of over 3,000 international students from more than 100 countries. The International Office and the upcoming Welcome Office provide administrative and informational support, assisting with arrival, accommodation, and cultural adaptation. The International Student Club (ISC) actively fosters an international community, organizing a Buddy Programme to help new students integrate, along with cultural evenings and social events. CTU also offers psychological counseling and a Centre for Information and Counselling Services (CIPS) to support student well-being.
Campus & Location
The main Dejvice campus is conveniently located in Prague, a city known for its beauty, rich history, and student-friendly atmosphere. Prague offers excellent public transportation, including metro, tram, and bus lines, making it easy to navigate the city and reach the university's various faculties. Many international students reside in dormitories located near the main campus, which are well-connected by public transport.
