University of La Serena

The University of La Serena (ULS) is a public, non-profit higher education institution located in La Serena, Chile. Established in 1981 through the merger of regional campuses of the University of Chile and the State Technical University, ULS has approximately 8,000 students. It is committed to the Coquimbo Region, focusing its work on science, technology, humanities, and social sciences.
