Northwest Community College

Coast Mountain College, formerly known as Northwest Community College (NWCC), is an accredited post-secondary institution located in Terrace, British Columbia, Canada. Established in 1975, the college serves the diverse communities of BC's beautiful northwest region, focusing on experiential and place-based learning.

Academics

Coast Mountain College offers over 33 academic and vocational training programs, leading to associate degrees, certificates, diplomas, and university transfer options. Notable programs include the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art, which is unique in Canada for its focus on traditional First Nations Pacific Northwest Coast art, and the Applied Coastal Ecology program. The college also provides a wide range of first and second year university credit courses that are transferable to universities across Canada.

Campus & Location

On-campus housing is available in the Wii Gyemsiga Siwilaawksat building, which can accommodate up to 112 students and includes kitchen areas and free wireless internet. The campus also features a full-service cafeteria and the Cedar Café, along with modern trades training facilities and a longhouse used for student-centered and cultural activities.
