Federal University of Ceará

The Federal University of Ceará (UFC) is a prominent public institution of higher education in Brazil, established in 1954. International Students

The Office of the Vice Provost for International Affairs and Institutional Development (PROINTER) provides support services, including guidance for academic and cultural adaptation through its Internationalization Support Program (PAI). While most courses are taught in Portuguese, international exchange students do not have minimum language requirements, though proficiency is beneficial. Prospective students can apply for academic mobility programs, which allow for studies ranging from six months to a full academic year.

UFC boasts multiple campuses across the state of Ceará, with three main campuses located in Fortaleza: Campus do Pici (science and technology), Campus do Benfica (humanities, business, law, and university administration), and Campus do Porangabussu (medical school). Fortaleza, the capital of Ceará, is a large metropolitan city offering a dynamic urban experience. The city is accessible via Fortaleza International Airport (FOR) and has a public transportation system including buses, taxis, ride-sharing services, and a bicycle-sharing system called Bicicletar.
