About Hedmark University College

Hedmark University College, established in 1994, was a public non-profit institution located in Elverum, Norway, with additional campuses in Hamar, Rena, and Evenstad. In 2017, it merged with Lillehammer University College to form the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (INN University). The Elverum campus is particularly known for its focus on health and sports sciences.

Academics

As part of INN University, it promotes internationalization by offering programs in English and encouraging student and staff exchange programs. Education at INN University is free for all students, regardless of nationality, with only a semester fee required, provided English or Norwegian language proficiency at B2 level. The Inland Norway Student Welfare Organisation (SINN) offers various support services, including conversational therapists, psychologists, and student chaplains.

The Elverum campus is situated in a modern setting within Terningen Arena. Elverum is a town with approximately 20,500 inhabitants, offering a blend of urban amenities and access to outdoor activities. The Glomma river flows through the city, adding to its distinctive character. Students have access to a library, bookshop, and cafeteria on campus, and the SINN provides student accommodation options.
