Universitas Pelita Harapan

Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) is a private, coeducational higher education institution established in 1993 in Tangerang, Indonesia. It is recognized for its commitment to providing a holistic education grounded in Christian principles, aiming to develop leaders with both knowledge and character. UPH was among the first universities in Indonesia to offer programs entirely taught in English, introduce a liberal arts curriculum, and adopt a multidisciplinary approach.

Academics

UPH offers a wide array of programs across 13 faculties and over 64 study programs, taught by a professional faculty including more than 20 full professors. Notable faculties include Economics & Business, Design, Science and Technology, Education, Hospitality and Tourism, and Social and Political Science. The university emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach and offers specialized programs such as Digital Accounting, Venture in Entrepreneurship, Food Technology, Civil Engineering in Sustainable Construction, and English Language Education.

International Students

The Global Partnerships & International Office (GPIO) at UPH is dedicated to assisting international students with consultation and administrative support for study permits, visas, and legal documents. They also provide post-arrival orientation to help students integrate into Indonesian culture and navigate campus life. UPH offers English-taught programs and has numerous student exchange opportunities with partner universities across four continents. International students are welcome to apply, and the university provides various academic and non-academic facilities and services, including housing and study abroad programs.

Campus & Location

The main and largest UPH campus is located in Lippo Village, Tangerang, Banten, a metropolitan area just west of Jakarta. The campus features world-class facilities, including libraries, laboratories, student centers, a fitness center, basketball courts, a swimming pool, and a grand chapel auditorium. Transportation to UPH Karawaci is accessible via commuter line train to Tangerang Station, followed by a taxi or minibus, or direct taxi and ride-sharing services. UPH also provides a shuttle bus service within the Karawaci area, connecting the main campus and the Faculty of Medicine campus.

Career Outcomes
